How coverage works
Identity routes each check to whichever verification source is configured for your organization and the check type requested. Coverage is deepest in Nigeria, where every check Identity supports is available. Beyond Nigeria, a growing subset of checks is available in specific countries. The checks available to you depend on your plan and the countries enabled for your organization.

These checks extend to other countries. Coverage grows as new verification sources are added, so treat the counts below as approximate.
- tax identification number (TIN) verification: Nigeria plus roughly 48 other countries across Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East
- document verification, document verification with a face match step, standalone face match, and liveness: the same country set as TIN verification above
- government ID verification: roughly 38 additional countries where Nigeria-specific identifiers such as BVN or NIN do not apply
- company or business registry lookup: roughly 58 countries in total, including Nigeria
- international passport verification: Nigeria and Australia only today
