Identity + WatchTower
How the two Remllo products work together without collapsing Identity into a transaction-only feature.
Identity only
Run KYC, KYB, watchlist, and onboarding operations without enabling transaction monitoring.
WatchTower only
Run transaction monitoring by itself when the customer does not need Identity.
Identity + WatchTower
Feed investigation-safe customer context into WatchTower for richer risk operations.
Correct product relationship
Identity is its own product. It should not be treated as only a feeder for WatchTower. Some customers will use Identity alone for KYC and KYB. Some customers will use WatchTower alone for transaction monitoring. Others will enable both so monitoring and investigations inherit richer customer context.
What flows into WatchTower
- customer trust posture
- KYC or KYB status
- onboarding evidence summary
- linked identifiers such as accounts, devices, sessions, and beneficiaries
- recent identity activity and access context
What stays inside Identity
- raw documents and biometric evidence
- provider-level raw responses
- sensitive onboarding artifacts and detailed review materials
WatchTower should only receive investigation-safe context. Raw identity evidence belongs in Identity and should remain there.
